Psalms 19:7 The law of the
Lord is perfect, converting the soul: The testimony of the Lord is sure, making
wise the simple.
Matt: 11:25 Jesus answered,
"Oh, Father, Lord of heaven and Earth, Thou hast hidden these things from the
wise and prudent and hast revealed them unto babes
LAWD, I BEEN A 'TRYIN
The poem LAWD is one of those
poems that I really don't know why it came to me. But for some strange reason I
kept picturing a very old, uneducated, black man, talking to the Lord. He had
been doing the very best that he could to live the way he felt the Lord would
want him to, and he probably lived under some very hard circumstances, yet He
still wanted to please the Lord. I have always felt, the people who have
suffered the most, and have been through the hardest times, due to their
experiences, they have the most personal relationship with the Lord. I could
just picture this wonderful, elderly gentleman baring his deepest feelings
before his Savior and Lord. His simplicity was so sincere and innocent, in
fact, probably the way the Lord would prefer that every believer would approach
Him. He wants us to come as little children, in innocence and fully trusting.
Matthew 19:14 Jesus said,
"Suffer the little children to come unto Me, for of such is the kingdom of
Heaven.
